Pre-installation diagnostics

Our C-NRPP certified technician will run diagnostics to determine the adequate fan size to depressurize the entire house's sub-slab area

Core drilling

Based on the results and with the consent of the homeowner, the mitigation professional will core drill into the concrete slab (Usually in the furnace room)

Hardware placement

The technician creates an adequate breathing space beneath the sub-slab for the depressurization process and places the special radon pipes and fan in place, sealing the joints tightly to maximize the performance.

Post system installation

Sealing all possible radon entry points, cracks, sealing and insulating the space around the radon exhaust and rim joist, and fixing the slab area under the furnace

Post installation Diagonostics

Now the technician runs diagnostics and checks the reading on the CRM (Continuous Radon Monitor) to validate his work.

What is a Radon test kit?

Radon test kit, also known as an Alpha tracking device, is a do-it-yourself device used to measure radon in the most cost-effective way. The house owner place this device in the lowest dwelling space away from direct draft and other objects for a minimum of 91 days. On concluding of the testing the device is packaged and mailed in the preaddressed envelope (the envelope, the test fees are part of the package) for lab analysis.

Is it essential to conduct Radon testing in every calgary homes?
